Here are two more authors who'll be participating in the HOT OFF THE PRESS Literary Readings in San Francisco on October 7 and 8, 2017. These readings are part of the Filipino American International Book Festival. They will be held at the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, Civic Center, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Gémino Abad will be reading from BLOODLUST: Philippine
Protest Poetry (From Marcos to Duterte) Edited by Alfred Yuson, Gemino Abad (Reyes Publishing 2017)
Gemino
Henson Abad is a poet and critic from Cebu, Philippines. He served the
University of the Philippines in various capacities: as Professor, Secretary of
the University, Secretary of the Board of Regents, Vice President of Academic
Affairs and Director of the UP Institute of Creative writing. He was elevated to the rank of University Professor, the
highest academic rank awarded by the university.
He currently sits on the Board of Advisors of the UP Institute of Creative
writing and teaches writing as Emeritus Professor at the College of Arts and
Letters, UP Diliman. In 2009, he became the first Filipino to receive the
coveted Premio Feronia in Rome, Italy under the foreign author category.
Dr. Abad's co-editor of Bloodlust, Krip Yuson says: "Here are our poets, 65 of them in this collection with a total of 133 poems. Now we join our voices with those of the rest of our fellow Filipinos who cannot abide by bloodlust." The tome is a "protest against the cavalier disregard of human rights and lives."

Noelle de
Jesus will be reading from Blood Collected Stories (Ethos Books
2015)
Noelle Q. de Jesus is a Filipina American writer based in
Singapore. A Palanca Award Winner, her work has been published in Puerto
del Sol and Mud Season Review, among others. She edited the flash
fiction anthology series, Fast Food Fiction; and her BLOOD
Collected Stories won the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Award for
the short story. She represented the country twice at the Asian Women Writers
Festival in Singapore, and took part in the Brockport Writers Forum at SUNY
Brockport. She has an MFA in Fiction from Bowling Green State University, a BA
from Ateneo de Manila University, and was a Writing Fellow at the 28th National
Writers Workshop at UP.
