Travel France: BatoBus in Paris for Sightseeing




I discovered the Batobus of Paris last October. It's a boat service on the Siene that makes eight stops: Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay, Saint-Germaine-des-Prix, Notre-Dame, Jardin des Plante, Hotel de Ville, Louvre, and the Champs-Elysees.







This operates as a hop-on-hop-off, so you can get off a particular site, do your sightseeing, then catch the Batobus again to get to the next site you want to visit. (The Batubus runs every 20 minutes.)



There is no tour guide, so you're on your own, but you're given a map showing where the stops are.

A good thing to do is to take a roundtrip, which takes around 1 hour and forty minutes. Then you use it again as a hop-on-hop-off service.

You can buy a one-day ticket for Euro 16, or two-day pass for Euro 19 from their Batobus ticket stations along the Seine at their stops. There are other boat services along the Seine so make sure you've got the Batobus.
